An 8-game losing streak killed the 49ers playoff chances before they even really began. Rather than give up the rest of the season, the 49ers banded together on offense and defense to go 3-2 leading up to the season finale with the Cleveland Browns. As they did last season, the 49ers will take down another potential playoff team on the last Sunday of the regular season. Shaun Hill will propel himself into the offseason with a final quality performance, creating buzz over the starting QB position for the 2008 season. I see Hill performing better than he has thus far, completing over 60% of his passes with three touchdowns. Frank Gore will go out with 100+ yards and I see the 49ers going into the Dawg Pound and taking care of business. Due to tiebreakers, the only way a win helps the Browns is if Tennessee ties Indianapolis. As such, the Browns still have a small something to play for, which will allow the 49ers to test themselves against real potential playoff team, unlike the 2nd half scrubs they faced versus Tampa Bay.

You are sadly mistaken. The Browns will massacre the Niners.
